Teachers

As part of the SCSBC community we provide teachers opportunities to network together, and assist in encouraging and shaping Christian education which extends from a biblical framework. In this section of our website, you'll find ProD Opportunities and Workshops available for your specific teaching level and/or subject. Our Resources and Publications sections will be updated regularly, so be sure to visit often.

A Christian school designs its learning to equip children and young adults to live responsively and responsibly for their Creator, Redeemer, and Lord. The school cannot do the work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts sinners and calls them to repentance and faith. However, the school tries to structure its learning in a way that proclaims the need for a commitment to Christ and to reveal the enormous claim God has on each of our lives. Learning in a Christian school should proclaim God's dynamic design for the universe, revealing life's inherent interrelatedness. The SCSBC Directors of Learning - Joanne den Boer and Bill de Jager - are available to answer questions by phone and email, or a school visit.
