The SCSBC team is available to answer questions by phone or email, and more structured or longer-term help may be arranged upon request either for individual school communities or combined groups.

Our Financial Review is an extensive self-assessment/diagnostic tool for school treasurers, bookkeepers/accountants, principals and chairpersons/other officers. Areas of review:
financial reporting and disclosure
- financial viability
- accounting staff
- job descriptions and training
- involvement of board and finance committee
- internal controls
- accounting software
- budgeting process
- financial stewardship
Questionnaires are completed by board members, finance committee members, principal, teachers, accounting staff and parents. Data is compiled by SCSBC staff, a report is issued to the school community, and an in-service is held to work through results.
