Director of Finance
The SCSBC invites applications for the position for Director of Finance. Ideally this position will commence June 1, 2012. This position is a 50% contracted position, and may have the flexibility to be combined with additional employment. SCSBC anticipates that this position may expand beyond 50% in the future.
The successful candidate:
- will be a professing Christian who values and understands the importance of PreK- 12 education from a Christian perspective
- will possess a professional accounting designation and will have significant experience in the non-profit and charities sector, preferably within the independent school movement
- will be a pro-active person who seeks to improve financial practices without compromising excellence in Christian education
A collaborative work style and expertise with communication technologies are important assets for this position. Some travel throughout the province will be required. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The SCSBC office is located on the campus of Trinity Western University in Langley, British Columbia. The SCSBC presently serves 46 schools with over 10,500 students and 1000 teachers and support staff.
